Toward Global-Ready Skills: UNO Overseas Conducts Ocular Visit at PTC Davao

Stronger partnerships pave the way for greater opportunities in skills development and workforce advancement. Demonstrating this commitment, UNO Overseas Placements Inc. conducted an ocular visit at Provincial Training Center – Davao on February 24, 2026, to explore a potential collaboration in establishing a training center that could further enhance technical education and industry preparedness.

The delegation from UNO Overseas, composed of Jhun Mark Gino, company representative; Mr. Shirai, Plant Manager; Mr. Takahashi and Mr. Mori from the Technical Training Center; Mr. Nishimura, FS General Manager; and Mr. Edmark, interpreter, visited the center to assess its facilities and discuss possible training initiatives.

Representatives from Provincial Training Center – Davao—Jonathan D. Samillano, VIS–Designate; Jessa Jessah E. Fuerzas, Administrative Officer–Designate; Rica Jean B. Gascon, Finance–Designate and Alexis C. Perez, SMAW Trainer—facilitated the visit and guided the delegation during the inspection of the center’s Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) facility.

The visit also served as a venue for both parties to exchange insights on their respective roles and potential contributions toward establishing a collaborative training hub. The initiative highlights a shared commitment to strengthening industry–training partnerships and expanding opportunities for individuals to gain globally competitive technical skills.
